Join MAIN at Startupfest from July 13th to 15th

Startupfest is back in Montreal from July 13th to 15th with a ton of events you don’t want to miss! This annual gathering allows entrepreneurs, investors, creators, large companies, industry veterans and the entire support ecosystem to chart the course of technology entrepreneurship in a unique festival atmosphere.

MAIN is a partner of the event and will present the Accelerators Lounge, a large space in the heart of the tent village.  Come meet incubators and accelerators, make promising meetings, or just come and recharge yourself (or your devices!).

Wednesday, July 13th

12 to 1 p.m.: Everyone is welcome! The lounge is open and MAIN’s team will be there to answer all your questions regarding its coaching service Momentum, Continuum startup, the Lac-à-L’Épaule podcast and to allow you to fill our Talent Barometer survey

1 to 3 p.m.: adMare BioInnovations, an accelerator specializing in biotech, invites startups to discover their services in investment capital, and scientific, commercial and infrastructure expertise.

3 to 4 p.m.: MTLAB, an accelerator specializing in tourism, culture and entertainment, welcomes all companies who wish to participate in a reverse pitch activity for Palais des congrès de Montréal.

4 to 5 p.m.: Welcome to all! Recharge and be energized with MAIN’s team. 

Thursday, July 14th

8 a.m. to 10 a.m.: Welcome to all! The lounge is open and MAIN’s team will be there to answer all your questions regarding its coaching service Momentum, the Lac-à-L’Épaule podcast and to allow you to fill our Talent Barometer survey. 

10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Sold out event – Venture capital meetings with Investissement Québec.

Quebec, September 22, 2021 – The Canadian Accelerator Incubator Network, (CAIN) has chosen MAIN as a partner to support the mobilization of Quebec business accelerators and incubators (BAIs) as part of the Performance Measurement Framework for Business Accelerators and Incubators (BAI PMF) project. In July, CAIN was awarded the contract to manage the Canadian BAI ecosystem data project — a project that the organization will also lead with consultant Chris Diaper.

Ambitious $29 million project to accelerate the growth of 375 Quebec startups by 2023

375 commercialization-phase Quebec startups to receive intensive customized coaching to reach their growth phase faster


Quebec City, January 30, 2021 – While its Sommet des accélérateurs is underway, Mouvement des accélérateurs d’innovation du Québec (MAIN Québec) announces the renewal of its coaching service for innovative and technological SMEs (PMEit). Quebec startups experiencing rapid growth thanks to PMEit coaching service

After receiving intensive, personalized coaching, 171 companies created close to 500 new jobs in Quebec and brought in more than $55M in income in 2019 alone


Montreal, November 17, 2020 – The Mouvement des accélérateurs d’innovation du Québec (MAIN) is proud to announce the initial partial results of its coaching service for innovative and technological SMEs (PMEit). The project was designed and implemented with several Quebec accelerators thanks to financing from the Ministère de l’Économie et de l’Innovation, and managed by MAIN. Between 2018 and 2020, PMEit facilitated coaching for 171 Quebec startups in their commercialization phase, hailing from 15 different administrative regions. Overall, the companies received more than 53,000 hours of intensive, customized coaching to help them reach their growth phase faster. The “post-crisis” economy is already shaping up. Let’s support it.

The virus is spreading at variable speed, but mitigation measures have hit all sectors of the economy head on, with an effect not unlike that of firmly applying both feet on the brake pedal. Canada’s startup and innovation ecosystem wasn’t spared. Investors are being cautious, potential customers suddenly have other fish to fry. Our startup barometer confirms this: without fresh money and support, the engine of our future economy may well run out of steam, collapse and seriously hamper the recovery. Investments are needed quickly.
