Front Row Ventures, in collaboration with Espace CDPQ and the accelerators Innovation Movement of the Québec (MAIN), is launching the training program “Startup Fundraising: A Practical Guide "designed to help thestartups to complete its first round of venture capital funding.
Building on the experience gained from creating its first venture capital training program for students and young professionals, Front Row Ventures is launching a second, new training program that builds on what participants have already learned, while also sharing tips from several successful entrepreneurs. A certificate of completion will be sent after the course, which will help teams at venture capital firms better identify startups, and the organizations that support them, which have been preparing for a fundraising event.
This bilingual training course, available online, consists of seven modules designed to provide a better understanding of venture capital, the technical aspects of fundraising, and the process governing venture capital funds, known in English as venture capital firms (VCs). In addition to helping thestartups, this training program is also intended for those who support these Canadian companies, particularly within accelerators and incubators.
The training costs $500 per individual license, with a 50% discount for students and startups. In addition, at Québec, thanks to a partnership with MAIN, members of their network receive a 50% discount off the regular price.
