We are delighted to announce that nine organizations Organizations supporting innovative entrepreneurship at Québec will receive funding to organize up to three events to raise awareness about entrepreneurs’ mental health, up to $1,500, following a call for proposals issued in early summer.
These events are unique opportunities to come together, discuss, and build a community where mental health is valued. events that are part of the Le Parachute initiative
As part of the initiative The Parachute, which we launched with funding from the government of Québec, we have a mandate to raise awareness about entrepreneurs’ mental well-being throughout Québec.
In fact, Le Parachute is a direct response to the growing needs of entrepreneurs who are facing challenges related to their mental well-being. This initiative aims to provide resources, support, and tools to help entrepreneurs overcome difficult times and bounce back from setbacks.
One of these resources is a “bank of hours” for entrepreneurs to access free psychological support, offered through your support organization. You can apply if the organization that supports you is one of the leading organizations that offer this time bank.
A reminder of the selection criteria—be sure to attend the Grand Saut on November 21
As a reminder, to ensure that these events have a real impact, we based our selection on four key criteria:
- Awareness-raising: Each event should help shine a spotlight on entrepreneurs’ mental health in order to raise greater public awareness of this crucial issue.
- Destigmatization: We aim to break down the taboos surrounding entrepreneurs and the challenges they face. These events are designed to foster a more nuanced and open understanding of entrepreneurship, including failure and the difficulties encountered.
- Promoting Debate: We encourage dialogue by creating spaces where people can share inspiring stories and engage in constructive discussions about mental health and the realities of entrepreneurship.
- Community Impact : We aim to have a broad impact, with events that bring together between 30 and 100 entrepreneurs, depending on the region and the nature of the event
Remember that it is only by working together that we can ensure entrepreneurship is also synonymous with well-being and solidarity.
And mark your calendars for November 21 for “Le Grand Saut,” the event focused on entrepreneurs’ mental health.
