entrepreneurial mental health awareness events are coming up across Quebec with Le Parachute
Published August 30, 2024
We're delighted to announce that nine organizations supporting innovative entrepreneurship in Quebec will receive funding of up to $1,500 to organize three awareness-raising events on entrepreneurial mental health, following a call for projects earlier this summer.
These events are unique opportunities to gather, discuss and build a community where mental health is valued. We urge you to participate, share and support these initiatives, which have the power to transform the way we perceive and experience entrepreneurship in Quebec.

events as part of the Le Parachute initiative
As part of the Le Parachute initiative, which we launched with funding from the Quebec government, we have a mandate to raise awareness of the mental well-being of entrepreneurs throughout Quebec.
In fact, Le Parachute is a direct response to the growing needs of entrepreneurs facing challenges related to their mental well-being. The initiative aims to provide resources, support and tools to help entrepreneurs overcome difficult times and bounce back from setbacks.
One of these resources is a bank of hours for entrepreneurs to obtain free psychological support, offered through your support organization. You can apply if your support organization is one of the referral organizations offering this bank of hours.
reminder of selection criteria and be at the Grand Saut on November 21
As a reminder, to ensure that these events have a real impact, we have based our selection on four essential criteria:
- Raising awareness: Each event must help to put the mental health of contractors in the spotlight, in order to raise public awareness of this crucial cause.
- De-stigmatization: We aim to break down the taboos surrounding entrepreneurs and their challenges. These events are intended to foster a more nuanced and open understanding of entrepreneurship, including failure and the difficulties encountered.
- Promoting Debate: We encourage dialogue by creating spaces to share inspiring stories and engage in constructive discussions about mental health and the realities of entrepreneurship.
- Community Impact: We aim for a broad impact, with events bringing together between 30 and 100 entrepreneurs, depending on the region and the nature of the event.
Don't forget that together we can make entrepreneurship a synonym for well-being and solidarity.
And save the date on November 21 for Le Grand Saut, the mental health event for entrepreneurs.
