Awareness events on mental health for entrepreneurs are coming soon throughout Quebec, organized by Le Parachute
Published on August 30, 2024
We are delighted to announce that nine organizations supporting innovative entrepreneurship in Quebec will receive funding to organize up to three awareness-raising events on entrepreneurs’ mental health, in amounts of up to $1,500, following a call for proposals issued earlier this summer.
These events are unique opportunities to come together, discuss, and build a community where mental health is valued. We strongly encourage you to participate, share your thoughts, and support these initiatives, which have the power to transform the way we view and experience entrepreneurship in Quebec.

events that are part of the Le Parachute initiative
As part of the Le Parachute initiative, which we launched with funding from the Government of Quebec, our mission is to raise awareness about mental well-being among entrepreneurs throughout Quebec.
In fact, Le Parachute is a direct response to the growing needs of entrepreneurs facing challenges related to their mental well-being. This initiative aims to provide resources, support, and tools to help entrepreneurs overcome difficult times and bounce back from setbacks.
One of these resources is a “bank of hours” for entrepreneurs to access free psychological support, offered through your support organization. You can apply if your support organization is one of the referring organizations that offer this “bank of hours.”
Review the selection criteria and join us at Le Grand Saut on November 21
As a reminder, to ensure that these events have a real impact, we based our selection on four key criteria:
- Awareness: Each event should help shine a spotlight on entrepreneurs’ mental health, in order to raise public awareness of this crucial issue.
- Destigmatization:We seek to break down the taboos surrounding entrepreneurs and the challenges they face. These events are designed to foster a more nuanced and open understanding of entrepreneurship, including failure and the difficulties encountered.
- Promoting Dialogue: We encourage dialogue by creating spaces where people can share inspiring stories and engage in constructive discussions about mental health and the realities of entrepreneurship.
- Community Impact: We aim for a broad impact, with events that bring together between 30 and 100 entrepreneurs, depending on the region and the nature of the event
Remember that it is only by working together that we can ensure entrepreneurship is also synonymous with well-being and solidarity.
And mark your calendars for November 21 for *Le Grand Saut*, the event focused on entrepreneurs’ mental health
