Le Parachute and the Evolution of Our Support for Entrepreneurs’ Mental Health

After more than a year of running Le Parachute, we have garnered significant support from across Quebec for this project, which is helping to bring about a genuine shift in how mental health is viewed in the entrepreneurial sector.

However, a significant part of this project—the bank of free psychological support hours, has been temporarily suspended because the funding allocated to this service under an agreement with the MEIE ran out on March 31.

Our commitment to the mental health of entrepreneurs remains as strong as ever.

To summarize all of this more clearly, here is what Le Parachute has been since April 1, and will remain until substantial financial support allows us to begin a new phase for Le Parachute.

What's changing:

  • Temporary suspension of the psychological support hour bank.

What's Next:

  • The leparachute.ca website is still available: new video clips featuring profiles of entrepreneurs can be found there
  • An interactive and empathetic agent: Find the right resources for your well-being → link
  • Resilience Training (in collaboration with Marketpedia) → link
  • Group Workshops to overcome stress and burnout (GRIPA) → link

In case of an emergency: dial 9-8-8, a helpline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Concrete Results for 2024–2025:

  • 110 entrepreneurs supported through the time bank
  • 77 leading organizations have joined the effort
  • 20 awareness-raising events that received financial support
  • 16 affected administrative regions
  • 19 collaborative events organized
  • 45 trained support professionals
  • 130 participants at the Le Grand Saut event, including 75 entrepreneurs
  • A LinkedIn community with 619 followers in 6 months

Our hopes for the future with Le Parachute

  • Restart the time bank as soon as possible.
  • Develop new partnerships to secure funding for the program.
  • Evolving our approach to shift the paradigm of entrepreneurial mental health : preventing before we have to treat.

Le Parachute is entering a period of transition, while remaining true to its mission of providing mental health support to entrepreneurs.

We remain committed to raising awareness and fostering collaboration so that entrepreneurs don’t have to wait until a crisis strikes to ask for help. We want them to fully realize the importance of taking care of themselves on a daily basis, before their bodies or minds force them to do so.
