Le Parachute and the evolution of our support for the mental health of entrepreneurs

After more than a year of operating Le Parachute, we have achieved a significant mobilization of the whole of Quebec behind this project, contributing to a real evolution in the conception of mental health in entrepreneurship.

However, an important part of this project, the free bank of free psychological support hours, has been temporarily suspended following the exhaustion of funding dedicated to this service under agreement with the MEIE until March 31.

Our commitment to the psychological health of entrepreneurs remains as strong as ever.

To sum it all up more clearly, here's what Le Parachute has been like since last April 1, until substantial financial support allowed us to launch a new phase for Le Parachute.

What's new :

  • Temporary suspension of the bank of psychological support hours.

What continues:

  • The leparachute.ca website is still up and running: new video vignettes featuring entrepreneurial profiles
  • An interactive, empathetic agent: find the right resources for your well-being → link
  • Resilience training courses (in collaboration with Marketpedia) → link
  • Group workshops to overcome stress and exhaustion (GRIPA) → link

In case of distress: dial 9-8-8a hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

Concrete results 2024-2025 :

  • 110 entrepreneurs supported through the hours bank
  • 77 referral organizations mobilized
  • 20 financially-supported awareness-raising events
  • 16 administrative regions affected
  • 19 collaborative events organized
  • 45 support professionals trained
  • 130 participants at Le Grand Saut, including 75 entrepreneurs
  • A LinkedIn community of 619 subscribers in 6 months

Our wish for the future with Le Parachute

  • Relaunch the time bank as soon as possible.
  • Develop new partnerships to secure program funding.
  • Evolve our approach to change the paradigm of entrepreneurial mental health Prevention before cure.

Le Parachute is entering a period of transition, while remaining true to its mission of providing psychological health support for entrepreneurs.

We're pursuing our goal of raising awareness and promoting concerted action, so that entrepreneurs don't have to wait for a crisis to ask for help. We want them to become fully aware of the importance of taking care of themselves on a daily basis, before body or mind forces them to do so.
