Le Parachute unveils the program for Grand Saut, the flagship event for entrepreneurial mental health
Published November 12, 2024
Organized by Le ParachuteLe Grand Saut is a day dedicated to the mental well-being of entrepreneurs. This unique event, to be held on November 21 at Espace Quatre Cents in Quebec City, is aimed at entrepreneurs, coaches, experts and leaders in the public sphere, in a spirit of support and collaboration.
Why Le Grand Saut?
Too often perceived as unshakable "superheroes", entrepreneurs face many psychological and emotional challenges, but still lack the resources to talk openly about them. Le Grand Saut aims to change the paradigm by offering a space dedicated to exploring these crucial issues and finding solutions together.
Le Grand Saut aims to normalize mental health as a fundamental pillar of entrepreneurial success. Breaking the taboo, raising awareness and intervening are at the heart of this initiative, supported by Le Parachute, a coalition of players committed to more humane entrepreneurship.
A rich and varied program
Between conferences, practical workshops, round tables and panels, the day of November 21 will be punctuated by inspiring moments and learning opportunities. Participants will hear from entrepreneurs, discover practical tools for managing stress and anxiety, and explore innovative approaches to mental well-being.
Conferences and panels:
- Experts such as Charles Beaudry (MAIN), Louis-Pierre Charest (Centech) and Étienne St-Jean (UQTR) will discuss the importance of mental health in innovative entrepreneurship from the perspective of research and coaching.
- Key figures such as Pascal Beauchesne (NUMANA), Philippe Beauregard-Totaro (École d'Entrepreneurship de Beauce), Geneviève Desautels (Éduc'Alcool), Pierre Graff (Regroupement des jeunes chambres de commerce du Québec), Véronique Massin (Groupe Entreprises en Santé) and Nathaly Riverin (Persévérance entrepreneuriale) will share their perspectives on how to do business differently, and discuss the initiatives they lead to support entrepreneurs in their overall health.
- Entrepreneur stakeholders such as Marie-Pier Boivin, Jessy Riel and Marie-Ève Landry will also be on hand to talk about their respective experiences.
Workshops and activities:
- In addition to the lectures, interactive workshops are planned to provide participants with practical, applicable skills: Stéphanie Dupuis (THEMA STRATÉGIE) will lead a session on differentiating stress from distress, and Julie Tremblay-Potvin and Marie-Andrée Mackrous (De Saison) will present a way to organize your work using the Temps Blanc model.
- Active breaks are also planned with the Ludo application, enabling participants to refocus and revitalize.
Round tables and consultation:
- The program also includes round tables, such as the one led by David Gobeille-Kaufman (Mangrove) on the future of entrepreneurial mental health. These moments of concertation will be invaluable in co-creating solutions and developing roadmaps for mental health in the business world.
A Fuckup Nights party
- To round off the day, participants are invited to take part in the Quebec Fuckup Nights, an opportunity to discover stories of professional failure in a relaxed atmosphere conducive to exchange.
Le Grand Saut, a Le Parachute initiative
Le Grand Saut is not an isolated event. It's part of a wider initiative called Le Parachute, which, through awareness-raising and action, embodies a movement for more humane and resilient entrepreneurship.
This initiative, launched in the Capitale Nationale region in 2020, is now spreading to 13 regions of Quebec thanks to the involvement of 48 referral organizations, which have provided 275 hours of psychological support to more than 70 innovative entrepreneurs since last May.
Le Grand Saut is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Vision entrepreneuriale
Québec 2026, and the financial contribution of the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie du Québec (MEIE), as part of the Le Parachute project, an initiative of the Mouvement des accélérateurs d'innovation du Québec.
