Frequently Asked Questions questions

What is the Sommet MAIN 2027?

The Sommet MAIN brings together stakeholders in entrepreneurial support, research, and economic development from across Québec. Its role is to facilitate necessary meetings, at the right time, between communities that work on behalf of the same entrepreneurs but do not communicate often enough or effectively enough.

Why the theme “Confluence(s)”?

Cities are born where rivers meet, and Sherbrooke is proof of that. Two rivers flowing side by side remain two rivers; at their confluence, they form a single, stronger waterway. The Sommet takes the same approach to the ecosystem: that support, research, and the local area should stop moving in parallel and instead come together to form a single ecosystem. The conferences will be structured around this theme.

Why Sherbrooke?

Sherbrooke was born at the confluence of two rivers, and it is a region where the convergence of support, research, and economic development is already a reality. You’ll see what’s being built there.

Who is the Sommet intended for?

To individuals and organizations that support the creation and growth of businesses; to researchers interested in entrepreneurship and innovation; to cities, economic development organizations, and elected officials; institutions of higher education, and partners who support the ecosystem.

What's in it for me?

Encounters you wouldn’t have anywhere else, with people whose work intersects with yours even though you’ve never spoken. You’ll leave with practical insights, knowledge, and—above all—connections that will make things possible long after the event is over.

Should we come with a plan or leave with solutions?

No. The Sommet is not a brainstorming exercise with a requirement to produce results on the spot. It is a place where we create or rekindle the connections upon which we can build the future.

Where to stay?

The event will take place at the Grand Times Hotel in Sherbrooke. A block of rooms has been reserved for participants directly at the venue, where Sommet is being held. There are two ways to make a reservation:
– by phone, at 819-575-2222, quoting the group code ACC020227;
– online, as an option when you purchase your ticket at our ticket office.

Can I transfer or cancel my ticket?
